Wheh, a long day yesterday! And a new addition to the family! A little bit of wrestling with firewall and technology, and here are the pictures; we're very happy to share them with you!
We made it to the hospital at 6:30am, but the intake nurse on staff told us they weren't expecting us until 8:30. Oops. Our procedure was also delayed a bit waiting for test results. Erik found some scrubs and tools, and was considering going forward himself, and Jill was relieved when they started the procedure at 10am.
In the operating room. Jill was behind a curtain, but awake for the procedure. Erik stood right beside her and able to offer support.
There were a total of 10 people in the operating room, quite a production to bring little Lilly into the world.
Lillian Judith Pearson came into the world at 10:30am on January 20, 2009. Here she is, beautiful and healthy upon arrival, taking her first breath in a new world.
